 MARY ELLEN HAGGERTY-
Paint Your Pet on a 12"Stein

The preferred shape is a 12" stein. Pictured are representative samples of Mary Ellen's work. She has a background in veterinary illustration and instruction. You will need to bring good photographs of your pet in standing, sitting, running, lying down or close-ups. A 9 1/4" practice plate (coupe) will be needed. A regular pallet of colors will be used and Mary Ellen will have paint in class mixed for your use. There will be a general sheet of instructions given; special instructions have also been prepared for your use.

JERRY SIMERTZ - Paint that Special Piece in your collection (Where do you go from here?)

You will bring your own special blank piece of china to class from your collection. Pictured are representative samples of Jerry's work. Jerry will work with each of you who are in her class. This is a design opportunity offered to help artists get moving forward with this project with individual help in the various aspects of composition, color harmony and suitable subject matter for your piece. A regular pallet of colors will be used. This class will help you to start work on your special piece; however you will not have a finished piece at the end of the 3 day session. Arrangements can be made for help to complete the painting. You will need pencil and paper for drawing your design etc.

2nd Session - JULY 28, 29 AND 30, 2008 (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)

 MARY ANN PUTZIER
Paint birds on a Rectangular Vase

Painting shown is representative of Mary Ann's work; however for the class, the preferred shape is a rectangular vase with a flat surface to accommodate painting on both sides and big enough for a bird shape on each side. You will have a variety of bird pictures to select from or you may bring your own bird picture. You may also choose to do another painting on a 9 1/4" coupe plate. The instructor's preference is that you purchase the porcelain at the beginning of class so that there won't be issues of enough space or appropriateness of the piece to the subject matter.
